Welcome Rebeka

25/06/2021

We are delighted to welcome Rebeka Campbell to the Dryburgh Athletic Community Club coaching team.

Rebeka has hit the ground running at Dryburgh, helping out with our Saturday morning sessions - including our Dryburgh Dribblers and Lisa Evans U9s Girls. She is now actively involved with the 2016s and 2009s boys squads and is always willing help if required.

Dryburgh Athletic Club Development Officer Sarah Smith had this to say on Rebeka’s involvement “Since joining the club, Rebeka has been involved with a number of teams and sessions including our Dryburgh Dribblers, she is now focusing on working with our 2009 boys squad. She shows great enthusiasm at the sessions, has a willingness to learn from other coaches and is working on continuing her coaching experiences with the club”

Rebeka herself had this to say “Being a female in football, where they are very much under represented, I feel it can give me the opportunity to promote women in football within in the grassroots community.

I throughly enjoy being with Dryburgh and coaching with numerous squads and ages as it’s allowing me to gain valuable experience and skills that can only benefit my future coaching career.

I’ve been volunteering since I was 14 and I love the feeling of seeing kids happy and improving everytime we see them and how much their confidence improves”.

Without volunteers like Rebeka, grassroots clubs can’t operate - So we thank Rebeka and ALL our grassroots volunteers and coaches for their time, dedication and enthusiasm.
