The 2025/26 SWF Championship season came to a close for Dryburgh Athletic Women, losing out narrowly to Armadale Thistle on Sunday.
Credit to Armadale for their victory with them fighting for their Championship lives at the bottom of the table.
With results elsewhere going in Dryburgh’s favour a 7th place finish was secured with the Burgh finishing at the top of the bottom half of the table after the league split.
Coach Mark Thomson reflected “after narrowly missing the top 6, we set ourselves the target after the split to finish the season unbeaten and secure a 7th place finish. We fell slightly short with the loss to Armadale on Sunday but we’ll take the positives of securing the 7th spot along with terrific wins vs Inverness, Forfar and Morton. Now the attention moves to the upcoming Cup Final on the 24th.”
