Hutchison Vale Women v Dryburgh Women
Our second post split fixture takes place this Sunday with an away trip to Bo’ness, on the south side of the River Forth, to face Hutchison Vale.
This will be the 3rd time we have played the Edinburgh side this season season, with a home win in October at New Beechwood Park, followed up more recently by a 2-1 win for ‘Burgh in February in an exciting game played at Vale’s alternate ground at Wester Hailes High School.
We go into the game on a high after last Sunday’s win away to Renfrew. In a match dominated by a strong wind, after a goalless first half ‘Burgh pulled away in the second half, with goals from Olivia Moffat, Rachel Robbie and Olivia Jones-Burns giving our girls an excellent 3-0 win. Credit too to our defence who held the line well, including player of the match Katie Hasset.
Meanwhile in their first post-split fixture, Hutchy Vale lost to Westdyke, with their young development squad still searching for their first win this season.
Sunday’s game kicks off at 3pm at Newton Park, Bo’ness. Come along if you can, and give our girls a cheer - C’mon the Burgh!
