Scottish Women’s Championship

Friday 3rd May

Dryburgh Athletic Women v Morton Women

Huge thanks to the seasons Match-Day sponsor - https://www.angusscaffolding.co.uk/

Friday evening sees us play our last game of the season when we host Morton at the Quest Arena (Whitton Park). We go into the game after last Sunday’s excellent performance against Westdyke, when four first half goals - from Beth Collins, Klara Brady and 2 from Stacey McFadyen - were the difference between the teams. The result gives ‘Burgh a 3 point advantage over Westdyke in the battle for 5th place in the league going into the final game.

Our opponents Morton will also be upbeat heading into the game, after their 4-2 win in their Clyde coast derby against Renfrew on Sunday.  Meanwhile our previous games this season against Morton have been competitive, with the most recent game in March in Port Glasgow ending in a goalless draw. However, back in October ‘Burgh put in an excellent performance in a memorable 5-1 win at Glenesk Park. With some excellent results over the last few months, our awesome Dryburgh  squad will be upbeat and confident going into the game and will no doubt give it their all.
