Barclays Scottish Women’s Championship
Sunday 11th May
Dryburgh Athletic Women v Westdyke Ladies
This weekend sees us play our last game of the season, with Sunday’s opponents being Westdyke Ladies who make the trip down the A90 from Westhill on the outskirts of Aberdeen.
After last weekend’s break both teams will be wanting to go out with a win. With a sunny forecast, this is likely to be one of the hottest Sundays of the season so it’ll no doubt be tough on both teams.
Westdyke head into the game after an 8-1 loss two weeks ago to Stenhousemuir. Meanwhile our Dryburgh girls will also be keen to get a win after their last match 2 weeks ago, which was a 3-0 loss to Forfar Farmington.
It was back in August when we had our first game of the season at New Beechwood Park, coincidentally against Westdyke. That day was a goal fest, with Burgh winning 7-3.
The return fixture up in Westhill took place in November, but it was much tighter affair, with ‘Burgh edging it 2-1.
With the good weather, we are hoping to get a big crowd along to see the match, and we will also be supported by our match mascots from Ancrum Road Primary. Come along and give them a warm welcome!
