Dryburgh Athletic Women v Rossvale Women
This Sunday once again we are at New Beechwood Park for match 3 of the season. This weekend’s visitors are Rossvale, whose home ground is in Kirkintilloch north of Glasgow, and who were familiar opponents to us during the first few years of the Championship. It’s been a while since we last played them, as they were promoted to SWPL2 for season 2024/25, although they were then relegated back to the Championship for season 25/26.
Rossvale’s early league form has been mixed, with their first game of the season 2 weeks ago ending in a 5-0 defeat at the hands of Ayr United. Last week however they bounced back, winning 3-1 against Bonnyrigg, with Vale taking the win thanks to 2 late goals in the last 10 minutes.
Meanwhile last weekend in Dundee saw a fantastic performance from our Dryburgh squad, running out 4-1 winners against Renfrew. After a fairly even first half with a few chances but no goals for either team, the second half saw our girls turn on the style, with goals from Aoife Gauld (x2), new signing Ami Martindale and trialist Johan Fraser, who has since signed for the team during the week.
With both teams bouncing back last weekend from defeats the week before, both will want to keep the momentum going into Sunday’s game, so it’s sure to be an exciting, close game!
Sunday’s match kicks off at 1pm at New Beechwood Park.

You can also enter by buying a season ticket. It gives excellent value, giving you entry into ALL home league games. It will also give valuable financial support to the team in their national Championship challenge.
