Dryburgh Athletic Raises Over £12K in Cash for Kids Sports Challenge

16/10/2025

Dryburgh Athletic Community Club has raised an impressive £12,501 through the Cash for Kids Sports Challenge, finishing third overall and earning an additional £1,500 top-up grant for their efforts.

The national fundraising initiative encourages grassroots clubs and community groups to raise money to support local young people through sport and activity. Dryburgh Athletic’s total reflects the tremendous effort of volunteers, players, families, and supporters who organised and participated in a range of fundraising events.

Club Development Officer Ryan Alexander expressed his gratitude:

“We’re absolutely thrilled with the result. This funding is vital for our charity, particularly with the rising costs we face to run our programmes. Every penny helps us continue to deliver opportunities for our players, families, and community to stay active, connected, and supported.”

Dryburgh Athletic continues to provide accessible, inclusive opportunities for people of all ages to participate in sport, while strengthening community wellbeing and engagement across the area.
