All at Dryburgh Athletic CC were thrilled to see Grace Forrester back on the pitch yesterday after nearly 2 years out with an ACL knee injury.
Grace, a long serving Dryburgh’s Girls Graduate, came off the bench to make a cameo 5 minute substitute appearance yesterday for our Women’s Development side.
It’s been an incredibly hard slog for determined Grace, who has been meticulous in her recovery showing great patience and dedication to get back out on the pitch again.
Grace has this to say on her return to competitive football “Two years of hard work, frustration, rehab, and recovery, but finally got my first minutes today. All that work paid off and now to build on them ahead of the league season starting.
717 days of recovery, done!”
Dryburgh’s Scott Barclay commented “she’s been attending the physio regularly and working hard in the gym and at training, always showing a fantastic attitude.
We were so pleased to see her come on for the last 5 minutes and i have never seen a player with a bigger smile on her face.“
