As the dust settles on the news that Dryburgh Athletic Women have been drawn away to Hibernian Women in the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup 3rd Round — taking place on Sunday 7th December, kick-off 4pm at Meadowbank Stadium, Edinburgh — excitement is building across the club.
This fixture is arguably the biggest in Dryburgh Athletic’s history, as our SWF Championship sidetakes on the current Scottish Women’s Premier League Champions.
The day promises to be a fantastic occasion for our youth players and supporters, offering a chance to see our first team go head-to-head with one of the country’s elite sides — and hopefully inspiring the next generation of Burgh and Scottish female ballers.
To put things into perspective, Hibernian Women are a full-time professional club competing in the Scottish Women’s Premier League and involved in European football.
How many clubs can boast they’ve faced Inter Milan and Dryburgh Athletic in the same season?
