All the best Reece

30/07/2026

Best wishes to long-serving Dryburgh Athletic coach Reece Watt, who departs the club to take up exciting new roles with Hibernian FC’s academy and another role with Alloa Athletic’s U19s.

Reece has been a stalwart at Dryburgh, first as a player and then as a coach over the last two decades. During that time, he has made a massive impact, helping to develop countless players while delivering fun, enjoyable training sessions and creating an environment where players could fully express themselves.

Reflecting on his time at Dryburgh, Reece said:

“The words community and family are used a lot within grassroots football, but within Dryburgh that is exactly what you get, a second family. I’ve made friends and contacts for life through playing and coaching and I’ll certainly be no stranger to NBP. I’d encourage anyone to get involved with this fantastic club.”

Head of Girls’ & Women’s Football John Beatt commented “We are really proud to have played a positive part in Reece’s coach development over the years. Reece has been a terrific servant to the club from player to coach, seeing him fill various roles at the club. He’ll be sorely missed but equally we are excited to see him move on in this next chapter in his career”.

Everyone at Dryburgh Athletic would like to thank Reece for his dedication, commitment and outstanding contribution to the club over the years.

We wish him every success in his new role and all the very best for the future.

Good luck, Reece!
