NEW BEECHWOOD PARK — COMMUNITY UPDATE
Around 10 weeks ago, we reached out to the local community following a number of incidents involving unauthorised access, vandalism and damage at New Beechwood Park.
We’re pleased to say that since then, the number of break-ins and incidents of damage has reduced significantly.
We want to take this opportunity to say a genuine thank you to the local community for your support. Whether you’ve shared our message, spoken to young people, kept an eye on the facility or reported concerns, your help has made a real difference.
However, we still need your support moving forward.
Both Dryburgh Athletic Community Club and Lochee Harp continue to work hard to protect, maintain and improve New Beechwood Park. While incidents have reduced, they have unfortunately not stopped completely, so we ask everyone to please remain vigilant and continue spreading the word.
If you see anything suspicious around the facility, particularly when the site is closed, please report it. We also ask parents, carers and members of the community to continue reminding young people that the facility is private property when closed and should not be entered without permission.
Every break-in and act of vandalism costs time and money that could instead be invested back into improving the facility for our players, supporters and the wider community.
The improvement over the last 10 weeks shows what can be achieved when the community works together.
Thank you for your continued support in helping us protect New Beechwood Park and ensure it remains a safe and valuable facility for everyone.
Please continue to keep an eye out, spread the word and share this message.
