MATCH PREVIEW | SCOTTISH CUP
After last weekend’s incredible 5-4 victory over Bonnyrigg Rose, the Burgh turn their attention to Scottish Cup action this Sunday!
Dryburgh Athletic Women welcome Edinburgh South to New Beechwood Park in the 2nd Round of the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup, looking to carry that winning momentum into another big knockout tie.
Nine goals, plenty of drama and a huge win last weekend — now it’s all about securing our place in the next round!
THE OPPOSITION
Edinburgh South arrive at NBP having earned promotion to Barclays League One after an outstanding 2025/26 campaign.
They won the SWFL East title, recording 17 wins from 18 league games and scoring over 100 goals, before sealing promotion with an emphatic 5-0 play-off victory over Giffnock.
Their first season in the national leagues has already provided a step up in competition, while their Scottish Cup journey began with a dramatic first-round tie against Dunfermline Athletic. After a 1-1 draw, Edinburgh South progressed on penalties to set up Sunday’s trip to Dundee.
It all points towards another competitive cup afternoon at NBP!
